Mesotherapy

Bring your skin back to life

If your skin is dull, feels dry, rough, or lacks that dewy glow that everyone talks about, it might need nutrition, often described as bio-nutrition or bio-revitalisation.

Every day we drink fluid and feed our body with food as we know that we have to do this for our body to function and to survive. Sometimes our skin, which is the largest organ in body shows us signs that it is in need of more nutrition and hydration. We don’t always recognise these signs immediately.

Factors that play a part in skin damage and ageing, such as: pollution, sun damage, smoking, alcohol, and food that isn’t nutrient dense, cause havoc on our skin. Long term damage to our skin can cause an imbalance which can lead to a number of different skin conditions. Mesotherapy is an excellent method of feeding the skin in both the superficial and deeper layers, providing energy and nutrition where it is needed.

What is mesotherapy?

This rejuvenation technique produces microinjections of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, coenzymes, antioxidants, amino acids, peptides and plant extracts to tighten, plump and refresh the skin.

These microscopic amounts of solution injected into the skin will promote collagen and elastin production within the deeper layers of the skin.  The treatment can be performed on the face, neck, hands, scalp as well as body.

What can Mesotherapy treat?

  • fine lines
  • wrinkles
  • sun damage
  • uneven skin tone
  • pigmentation
  • dark circles
  • under-eye bags
  • crows feet
  • dull & tired skin
  • problematic skin
  • oily congested skin
  • mild acne scarring
  • cellulite
  • stretch marks
  • hair loss

Michel Pistor, a doctor in France, developed the technique in 1952. It was originally used to relieve pain. In the years since, it has gained popularity and it become one of the most popular aesthetic treatments. The technique uses very fine, short needles to deliver a series of shallow injections into the skin. The idea behind mesotherapy is that it corrects underlying issues like poor circulation and inflammation that cause skin damage.

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, mesotherapy treatment starts with an initial course of 3-6 treatments, every 7-28 days depending on the product used. For maintenance purposes treatments can be repeated at intervals depending on your response.
How long is recovery?
Minimal – there can be some blotchiness and mild swelling for several hours after treatment. You can return to normal activities almost straight away if you respect post treatment advices. In some areas minimal bruising may occur depending on your skin sensitivity.
